Meet Sam
Head of System Safety
“My background is in systems and safety engineering of land and air vehicles for the military and civil aviation sectors on projects including eVTOLs, airships and Drones. After gaining some consulting experience in previous roles I was looking for a position that would allow me to build on my leadership skills and transfer some of my technical skills to the next generation of safety engineers. Infinity seemed like the perfect opportunity to expand these skillsets and help me to develop, especially with its ambitions to grow significantly and as it really invests in the development of its people.
Now, I love working with a great team of engineers with a diverse set of skills and experiences who operate successfully across a variety of interesting and technically challenging projects. These projects span across land, maritime, air and space sectors and make sure that my days are always interesting and engaging. I am responsible for the competency, training and development of the engineers in the safety team and making sure everyone has enough work to keep them busy but not so much that it interferes with their work/life balance.
A good day at work is when members of the team have a big win, delivering a great piece of work for the customer, getting some positive feedback or when someone hits a development objective, such as reaching Incorporated or Chartered status through the engineering council. We also get together in the office once a week and we have quarterly socials like surfing, go karting, escape rooms or just share a curry together which really helps me to feel part of the team.
There are many things I appreciate about working at Infinity. We have a really great team morale and work ethic and I personally love the feeling that we are helping to build safer systems for our customers and the end users of the products. The leadership team are also always on hand, we are a small company with a flat-hierarchy so if something isn’t working we are always encouraged to make suggestions on how we can improve and make things better for you and the other members of the team.”

“My background is as a Production/Operations Manager but within the manufacturing sector working for some world-renowned brands in the lighting industry. I was looking for the next step in my career when I was offered the opportunity to come and work with ISE. From the moment I met with Carolina, Sam & Joe, I knew it would be the perfect step to take.
As an Operations Manager, I'm at the helm of driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of excellence within ISE. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to innovate & problem-solve, from streamlining workflows to implementing strategic initiatives. Being an Operations Manager is about making a meaningful impact. Whether it's improving efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, or making sure the team have enough tea and coffee in the office! I'm committed to driving positive change and helping my organization thrive.
A good day at work for me is when processes and procedures are followed and changes that have been implemented work and make an improved difference for the team or for ISE as a whole.
ISE is a place where people enjoy waking up in the morning and going to work, at least it is for me! It has given me the freedom to have a decent work life balance with the flexible and hybrid working environment. The culture and the atmosphere is fantastic, as shown by our Great Place to Work Award! Ensuring that everyone has the right support is key and having at least a day in the office a week allows everyone to collaborate and the team socials are also a great chance for us all to catch up and relax together.”

System Safety Engineer
“My background is in Safety and Environmental Engineering of land vehicles in the military sector. I joined infinity as a graduate engineer, and in the 3 years of working here I have gained valuable experience both technical and commercial.
Working at Infinity it has allowed me to develop a diverse set of skills and experience, in systems, safety and environmental engineering, which is continuously encouraged through a variety of projects and training. Within a year and a half of working at infinity, I was able to successfully apply for my Incorporated status, and I am now applying for chartership.
A good day at work is delivering a great piece of work for the customer, or getting some positive feedback from a customer. We have quarterly socials like surfing, go karting, escape rooms, or just a curry night which is always great fun.
